Mineral processing by flotation method is one of the most important and widely used methods of mineral processing, which actually uses the surface interaction between generally hydrophobic minerals and materials called collectors and foaming agents to separate minerals from tailings.
The compounds that cause the absorption of minerals from the aqueous phase to the organic phase in the flotation process are called collectors and the substances that cause the formation of the organic phase in the process are called foaming agents.
Xanthate and dithiophosphate collectors are the most important and widely used chemical compounds in flotation industries, and the products produced with Radman chemistry include 2-8 carbon xanthates and 16-4 carbon dithiophosphates.
In addition to collectors, several types of floor machines have also been specialized for use in the processing of minerals.
The purpose of Dara Chemical Radman Company (DARA) is to produce xantate and dithiophosphate family collectors and synthetic foaming agents formulated for use in the processing of minerals by flotation method.
Considering the fact that the collectors used in the flotation industry are imported, as well as the high cost and the long time between the production and delivery of these materials to the final consumer, and the possibility of destroying the structure of the material during transportation and storage, we decided to use xantate collectors and Dithiophosphate and exclusive foaming agents are produced in the collection on a trial basis and after repeated laboratory and industrial tests, we have started producing in high volume in order to minimize the country’s need to import these materials. The working team of the complex, including chemical, processing, technical and laboratory experts, has successfully passed the research stages since 2014, and with the establishment of the company and activities under the supervision of the Science and Technology Park, it has started the industrial production of chemicals and we hope to expand the spectrum products and production of new and leading products in this field to take a small step in increasing the productivity of mines.
It should be noted that the products of the collection are formulated using minimal imported raw materials to prevent tension in the structure of the final product and include a wide range of collectors, which according to the diversity of mineral resources and the difference in the mineral structure of the target and companion It can be customized depending on the needs of each collection. Also, the set has the ability to perform processing tests on all kinds of minerals in order to achieve optimal efficiency with regard to the specialization of chemicals for each type of mineral compared to the conditions of using traditional and general chemicals.
Our ultimate goal is to produce Iranian quality products along with increasing productivity in mining complexes both operationally and financially.
