The purpose of Dara Chemical Radman Company (DARA) is to produce xantate and dithiophosphate family collectors and synthetic foaming agents formulated for use in the processing of minerals by flotation method.
Considering the fact that the collectors used in the flotation industry are imported, as well as the high cost and the long time between the production and delivery of these materials to the final consumer, and the possibility of destroying the structure of the material during transportation and storage, we decided to use xantate collectors and Dithiophosphate and exclusive foaming agents are produced in the collection on a trial basis and after repeated laboratory and industrial tests, we have started producing in high volume in order to minimize the country’s need to import these materials.
Chemicals used in flotation
The chemicals used in flotation consist of three main categories:
1. Collectors: These materials attach to valuable minerals and mineralize them separately from other materials. Examples of collectors are pure coal, DTP, diethyldiphenylthiocarbamate, and pure coal.
2. Regulators: These materials are used to regulate and adjust the surface characteristics of minerals to facilitate their separation from each other. Examples of regulators include amine sulfate, sodium bicarbonate, metachrysulfone sulfonate, and methylisobutylcarbamate.
3. Additives or precipitants: These substances are used to control sediments and increase surface chemical differences to maintain the separation of valuable minerals from tailings. Examples of additives include zinc sulfate, sodium cyanide, oxalic acid, and thiazides.
Also, it should be noted that the type of chemicals used in flotation may vary depending on the type of minerals and different process conditions.
